Tesco Broadband Only is the package we offer outside of our network area. This means we have not yet installed our equipment in your local telephone exchange. It's more expensive because we have to use BT's network to deliver broadband to you rather than our own.
Line rental charges will still be payable to BT.

What do I need to do?
- Tell us you want to switch - Let us know which package you’d like and we’ll take a few details.
- We set it up - We’ll confirm your order and keep you updated with its progress. If you already have broadband with another provider you’ll need to contact them to obtain a MAC (Migration Authorisation Code) before we can place your order. If you’re new to broadband we can take your order straight away, just click on check line or give our friendly UK contact centre a call on 0800 0056 6050.
- You get started.
Your new service should be up and running within 2 weeks. We’ll email or text you at every step of the way so you always know what’s happening. We’ll send you a new router and it couldn’t be quicker or easier to get going – even if you have more than one computer or games consoles to connect. Don’t forget we’re on the end of the phone if you need some help. That’s it!
Before you switch you need to have the following information ready:
- The telephone number (including area code) of the line you will be using to access the internet
- Your full address including postcode
- Your credit or debit card details
- Your bank or building society account number
- Your bank or building society branch sort code
- Your Tesco Clubcard number (if you have one)
Checklist to be eligible:
- You are over 18
- You are authorised to make a decision on broadband for your household
- You have a UK bank account
- You are UK resident
- You have an email address (as this will be our main route of contact)
- BT line required

Tesco Broadband comes with a wireless router included. This router is already set up for you to connect and start using our network and will come with instructions of how to set it up (if you get stuck there is no need to worry our customer care team will be on hand to help guide you through).*

Tesco Broadband offers unlimited downloads, but in order to provide a fair experience to all our customers, our service is subject to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP). This Fair Usage Policy is in place to prevent abuse and reduce the impact of these heavy internet users on others customers.
